Initiative Group of European Forum Alpbach in Kiev is nonprofit, nongovernmental, apolitical and independent organization.

Initiative Group of European Forum Alpbach in Kiev is an associate member of the international European non-governmental organization European Forum Alpbach (EFA) founden in 1945 and seated in Vienna.

President of the European Forum Alpbach is Dr. Erhard Busek, Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe.

Initiative Group of European Forum Alpbach in Kiev is the newest member of international network of 22 EFA Initiative Groups and Clubs from 12 European Countries.

 

MISSION

Promotion if the ideas for improvement of the civil society, development of democracy, with a special view on the cooperation between the citizens of the Republic of Ukraine and the citizens of the neighbor countries and the countries of the European Union.

 

GOALS

·        Disseminating information about the European Forum Alpbach in Ukraine

·  Disseminating information about Ukraine and improving its image among European Forum Alpbach participants.

·    Facilitating civil dialog on relations between the European Union and Ukraine, and European integration by organizing international seminars attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations, scientists and politicians, experts in this field, as well as youth from the EU countries and Ukraine.

       ·     Supporting students, professors and decision makers to participate in panels                   and seminars of European Forum Alpbach

       ·       Encouragement of cooperation between youths from Ukraine and youths from                 the countries of the EU.  

       ·       Promotion of the peace and stability, by student exchange programs and                          science cooperation, discussions, symposiums, conferences and festivals in                  Ukraine, as well as supporting similar events abroad.

·  Promotion of high level of understanding among the citizens of different communities in Ukraine with the help of open liberal discussion and democratic dialog.
